New Artworks in the Gallery!
It took a while to get started, and now I'm painting more often. However, it felt awkward because of the haitus to get the studio up and running - I couldn't get into the rhythm I had in Vancouver. I felt my style has changed, or maybe I was tackling a different subject - landscapes.
I don't feel bad though, just a 'hmm... this is a new experience - let's see how far I take this?"
I had just finished 3 paintings in the past month, and they will be in Wells Works 2009 at the Island Mountain Art Gallery, opening tomorrow. I'm proud of the works, they're a new experience for me. I'm nervous though - will they be warmly received, or will there be criticism?
After the gallery opening: Not only it has been warmly received, one of the painting, Morning Light, has been sold!
Everyone's works that are on display are all wonderful, as well.
