My art is a journey of self-expression based on my heightened senses due to my lack of hearing. Because I cannot hear, I rely on my other senses, which is sight, taste and touch. Therefore, everything that we take for granted deeply intrigues me. Take apples. We know it’s round, and red, yellow, or green. We know it can taste sweet, or it can taste tart. I try to show you how I see these everyday objects and sightings through my drawings and paintings, and make you see how beautiful they really are. |
