Visual Artist

Laurie Monique Landry is a visual artist working in drawing and painting with oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Born in Calgary, Canada, she has completed Fine Arts Techniques at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC as of March 2008. She also has just completed training in life drawing with Timothy Stotz & Michelle Tully of Studio Escalier in Paris, France in December 2010.

Her first art course was watercolour painting with BC artist Edward Epp at the Island Mountain School of Art, in Wells, BC in 1979, and has continued to pursue her love of drawing and painting throughout her life. Two of the biggest highlights in her recent trip to Paris was training inside the Montmartre studio that was once the studio of Suzanne Valadon and Henri Toulouse-Lautrec; and being able to study in the Louvre everyday.

Laurie is currently living and working in Wells, BC where she operates her business, “Cartier & Bailey Creative Studio” in which she excels in graphic design, picture framing and original artworks of the surrounding landscapes, still lifes and people.
